I met up with my friends from Lonestar Taco for breakfast at Perch Cafe in Park Slope recently. I’ve walked by Perch dozens of times, and I’ve always been intrigued by the place, but had never been there to eat. I got the sourdough waffles, topped with raspberry butter. The raspberry butter was great — it actually tasted of raspberries, and wasn’t too sweet. The waffles themselves were good and warm, with crispy edges, but I didn’t taste any sourdough flavor. I won’t be rushing back to Perch any time soon, but it wasn’t bad.
