Baguette From Bien Cuit

I wasn’t particularly impressed with either the roasted zucchini sandwich or the par-almond danish I had from Bien Cuit, the new, much lauded bakery on Smith Street. The baguette, though, was a thing of beauty. Note the elegantly tapered point, the dark brown color, the lightning-bolt fissure in the crust… Not pictured are the wonderful hole structure, or the chewy and tender interior. You don’t even need any butter or olive oil, though they certainly couldn’t hurt.

If I come to the party, will you buy me a baguette? 🙂
